UP Arts and Cultural Alliance Reception

The Upper Peninsula Arts and Culture Alliance, a service organization supporting arts and culture in the UP, will host a free public reception at the Copper Country Community Arts Center on June 11, 2024.
The Upper Peninsula Arts and Culture Alliance is a collaborative organization that fosters and promotes creativity through building connections among artists, performers, audiences, arts and culture organizations along with economic development, recreation, and tourism industry leaders. The Alliance encompasses all fifteen counties of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. In the last year the Alliance has conducted extensive research on economic forces in the Upper Peninsula, measuring impact of arts and culture on tourism, recreation, and other industries. The Alliance partners with Michigan Arts and Culture Council to help distribute state funds to Upper Peninsula organizations, and hosts an extensive online directory of UP artists and arts and culture organizations. The Alliance also hosts an annual conference in September, with this year’s conference in Marquette centered on the theme of advocacy.
