Portage Health Lights of Love Ceremony

The Portage Health Auxiliary will hold the annual Lights of Love ceremony in the lobby of UPHS-Portage Hospital in Hancock. 
Each year the Auxiliary decorates a Christmas tree in the hospital lobby and has a ceremony to honor those still with us and in memory of those who have gone before us. A banner with honored/memorialized names stands near the tree during the holiday season. Names are read and seasonal music will be shared. Donation forms are available at the Guilded Rose gift shop in the hospital lobby.  Forms are due by November 15 in order to prepare the banner.
The auxiliary is a non-profit organization whose mission is to serve the health and well-being of the elderly and youth in Baraga, Houghton, Keweenaw, and Ontonagon counties through grants to non-profits and medical field scholarships.  “The proceeds from the Lights of Love program go to the scholarship fund along with a generous donation from UPHS-Portage and support from a Thrivent Financial team grant.
