Providing a one stop calendar for events in the Houghton & Keweenaw County areas. Brought to you by the vendors of Chassell Farmers Market to encourage community gatherings, as well as local business and farming efforts.
The Pewabic Street Community Garden will hold its 15th annual plant sale fundraiser at Trinity Episcopal Church in Houghton.
Every year the PSCG offers a great selection of locally grown, hardy plants including vegetables, herbs, sun and shade perennials, annual flowers, berries, houseplants, and ground covers. Experienced gardeners will be on hand to offer advice and answer questions. The sale helps to support garden programming and maintenance throughout the year.
Visit www.pewabicgarden.org and follow PSCG on Facebook www.facebook.com/pewabicgarden for information and updates on this and other events.
Founded in 2007, the Pewabic Street Community Garden is a volunteer project providing a beautiful, peaceful, and friendly garden space in central Houghton for people of all local communities to garden, gather, and grow. With soil and seeds, the garden brings people together – young, old, international, local, expert, novice – united by green thumbs, desire for fresh foods, and love of the earth. The garden is located in Houghton, Michigan on a vacant section of Pewabic Street near the old Houghton High School lot and the Houghton County courthouse.
