Description: Parts 39 and 40 – Electrical Standards for General Industry: This challenging course provides the information needed to safeguard your employees and property from electrical hazards in the work environment. We will discuss the application of MIOSHA electrical standards for general industry. Topics include a fundamental explanation of electricity, clarification of qualified vs. unqualified employees, how to work with electricity safely, as well as electrical installation expectations. Emphasis is placed on electrical hazard recognition, the safe and correct use of electrical testing equipment and case study review.
Due to the fast pace of the course, it is expected that the students have read General Industry Standards Part 39, Design Safety Standards for Electrical Systems, and Part 40, Safety Related Work Practices prior to attending class.

*The MIOSHA Training Institute (MTI) provides a scholarship for 50% off the regular course fees for MTI courses.
