Locavore Festival

The Houghton farmers market season kicks off on Saturday, May 25 from noon to 3 p.m. with live music, farm animals and all things local. Locavore Festival welcomes bands Fast Car and Dead North who will play 90s pop and bluegrass (in that order!), setting the mood for summer on the Portage Canal. Expect goats and lambs to pet for kids, local farm and craft vendors, and groovy music on the pier. Come hungry because the Dog Father and the Matador food trucks will sling up delicious, locally-made food on the waterfront.
