The Keweenaw County Historical Society hosts “Keweenaw Birds: Recent Changes in Breeding and Wintering” presented by David Flaspohler, MTU Interim Dean and Prof., College of Forest Resources and Environmental Science.
Summer breeding bird distribution and their winter range are shaped by both ancient evolutionary history and human driven environmental change. How have climate change – along with other human activities – affected various birds’ ranges? From range expansion to species decline, here’s an overview from past to future.
There is a $6.00 fee ($5.00 for KCHS members) payable at the door.
