Folk Tunes: Folk Music Traditions of the Upper Peninsula

The Keweenaw County Historical Society hosts “Folk Tunes: Folk Music Traditions of the Upper Peninsula” presented by Daniel Truckey, Director, Beaumier U.P. Heritage Center at NMU, and Musician.
Enjoy a program exploring the diverse and colorful history of folk music in the region. Beginning with the traditions of the Anishinaabe contemporary folk, this multimedia presentation will both edify and entertain. Truckey, a songwriter, will perform as well as share field recordings from folklorists such as Frances Densmore, Alan Lomax and James P. Leary.
There is a $6.00 fee ($5.00 for KCHS members) payable at the door.
