Community Sled Hockey Event

Michigan Tech Recreation and Equipment Loans of the Keweenaw are sponsoring a community-wide sled hockey event at the MacInnes Student Ice Arena. This is a fun and inclusive way to play hockey, and the event is free, with all equipment provided. You don’t need to know how to skate to play sled hockey. Any age or ability is welcome! People are welcome to bring their own helmets and elbow pads/gloves if they have them. Register at mtusledhockey23.eventbrite.com. A silent auction and 50/50 raffle during the event will raise funds for a high school adaptive athlete’s track roller. To see what is up for bid, go to the Equipment Loans of the Keweenaw ELK Facebook page starting Monday, November 6th. At 5:30 on November 11th, after the event is over, there will be a meeting for anyone interested in joining the local sled hockey team.
