The Finnish American Folk School’s Barks and Willow Symposium will be held September 8-13. Artists Karen Tembreull and Poppy Hatinger will lead a series of workshops and free demonstrations about growing, harvesting, and making with willow and barks of all kinds. In addition to bark and willow basketry, workshops will feature bead making, cordage techniques, gardening, and bookbinding. Events are suitable for learners of all experience levels.
